Real World Haskell is probably more of a second book, and also predates those library changes. Those library changes might not be a big deal as long as you're aware of them, but personally I wouldn't want to try to learn the language and figure out why the book examples aren't working and . Get a practical, hands-on introduction to the Haskell language, its libraries and environment, and to the functional programming paradigm that is fast growing in importance in the software industry. This book contains excellent coverage of the Haskell ecosystem and supporting : Alejandro Serrano.

Real World Haskell. Throughout this book, we will show you how Haskell's alternatives to the features of traditional languages are powerful, flexible, and lead to reliable code. Haskell is positively crammed full of cutting edge ideas about how to create great software. We're writing this book because many have found learning Haskell to be difficult and it doesn't have to be. Learning Haskell from the ground up is easier and works better - for both experienced hackers and people new to programming. The language is different enough from any you might've already tried that building up from the foundations will be less difficult and more enjoyable.

Real World Haskell takes you through the basics of functional programming at a brisk pace, and then helps you increase your understanding of Haskell in real-world issues like I/O, performance, dealing with data, concurrency, and more as you move through each chapter. With this book, you will. Haskell is a deep language, and learning it is a hugely rewarding experience. In this ebook, you'll approach programming from a different and valuable perspective. You'll also learn how to create software that is short, fast, and safe. Lastly, you'll have the pleasure of applying beautiful programming techniques to solve real problems.
